A Form letter from you to the Building Official Chapter/ Association

A state by state list of all ICC recognized chapters/associations

That’s it!

The Form letter includes hyperlinks to the AMDWEB site, so all the reader needs to do is click the hyperlink and away the go. The letter contains links to an AMD video that explains our position to the ICC voters and the actual documentation that we base our case on. Here is how to work the kit.

  1. Open the Word file named “Dear Building Code Professional Association”
  2. Input your personal information in the form, you know, name, title, company
  3. Save the file on your PC , this is your template to work from
  4. Make a list of state in which you do business
  5. Add Minnesota, Wisconsin, Iowa, North and South Dakota, Michigan, New York, California and Florida to your list
  6. Go to the Excel List of Building Officials by State spreadsheet
  7. There is a worksheet for each state (look at the bottom to see them)
  8. Start with your first state
  9. Click on the email hyperlink for the first chapter/association
  10. Outlook should bring up an email with the email in the “TO:” box
  11. Attached the letter
  12. Add an introduction in the email, try to make this individualized with a “dear Fred” or a “we do business in your state”
  13. Click the SEND button
  14. Go to the next contact
  15. Repeat 9-14 until finished
