Welcome to the AMD Certification Program

The Association of Millwork Distributors (AMD) representing the largest segment of side-hinged exterior door pre-hangers, distributors, and component manufacturers in the United States now offers third-party fenestration product certification to AMD members and non-members alike.  The Association of Millwork Distributors launched the AMD Certification Program in collaboration with the National Accreditation and Management Institute (NAMI) in 2009.  With building code requirements expanding throughout the country and new energy tax credits now available to consumers, not to mention the popularity of Energy Star products today, there is a genuine need for product certification and labeling.

The AMD Certification Program offers a variety of third-party certifications required of the door and window industry and will offer new programs as warranted. Current certifications offered are:

  • Structural
  • Thermal (NFRC)
  • Manufactured Housing
  • ICC-Evaluation
  • Garage Door
  • Impact
  • Insulating Glass
  • HUD UM
  • Quality Assurance
  • Fire Resistance (new!)
